C O I L S
Coils are responsible for heating the e-liquid in your e-cig and turning it into vapour. In strict terms, a vape coil is a wire wrapped in a spiral shape around your e-cig wicking material. Then it's fitted in place in its e-cig atomizer head, the coil connecting the positive part of your battery to the negative.
High resistance coil
An atomizer head with resistance above 1.0 ohm. Generally used at lower power and are more suited for “regular” vapour production.
Smaller clouds of vapour
- Uses less e-liquid
- Suited to most e-cigs
Low resistance coil
An atomizer head with a resistance less than 1.0 ohm. Commonly referred to as “sub-ohm”. Generally, requires higher powers.
- Larger clouds of vapour
- Uses more e-liquid
- Not suitable for all e-cigs
